SENIORS:<\/b> Seniors need to pay off their cafeteria debt as soon as possible \u2013 there will be no more charging as of 4\/18\/17.<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIORS: <\/b>Seniors lockers need to be cleaned out completely before leaving campus or it will be thrown away at the end of the year. <\/span><\/p>\n

HONOR GRAD PHOTOS:<\/b> Honor graduates who dropped off photos for the honor graduate video may pick up these photos in the East office.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

PROM TICKETS:<\/b> Prom tickets will go on sale\u00a0Tuesday, April 18 thru Thursday, April 27.\u00a0 You may purchase your tickets from Ms. Nielsen or Mrs. Farhatt before or after school.\u00a0 Seniors do not need to buy a ticket.\u00a0 Juniors who did not earn their points will need a $50.00 ticket.\u00a0 Guest tickets are $30.00.\u00a0 Juniors who earned a ticket may pick those up from Mrs. Farhatt. Purchase your tickets before the Prom so that you don’t have to wait in line!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

2017 SHS GRADUATION DVD PRE-ORDERS:<\/b> Pick up your DVD order form in either office. Each DVD is $20, and the money must be turned in with your order. \u00a0Please have exact change or check will be accepted.<\/span><\/h1>\n

ACT PREP COURSE: <\/b>SHS will host a free ACT Prep Course\u00a0May 30-June 2\u00a0on the SHS Campus.\u00a0 Interested Searcy High School students may stop by the Guidance Center to sign up.\u00a0 There a limited number of slots available so students should sign up early.\u00a0 The deadline to sign up is\u00a0April 28.\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

CHANGE IN PROCEDURE TO REQUEST DRIVERS TEST ATTENDANCE FORM:<\/b>\u00a0 The office will provide the Drivers Test Attendance Form at the time the student is checked out to take the test.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>The student is responsible to make sure you have met the requirements to receive the letter before you have your parent come to the office to check you out. <\/span>Requirements: Student is maintaining a \u201cC\u201d average the previous SEMESTER (not a 9 week period)<\/span>, AND is properly enrolled in school.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

YEARBOOK APPLICATIONS:<\/b> Those interested in applying for the 2017-18\u00a0<\/span>Lion\u00a0<\/span><\/i>yearbook staff may pick up applications in either office or see Mrs. Holeyfield. The deadline is\u00a0May 5, 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIORS:<\/b> If you have not ordered or picked up your cap\/gown unit just a REMINDER!\u00a0 You cannot participate in graduation ceremonies if you do not have a cap\/gown.\u00a0 If for any reason you cannot obtain one, please see Ms. Daves.<\/span><\/p>\n

WRESTLING TRYOUTS<\/b>: Wrestling tryouts will be\u00a0Monday, May 1st and Tuesday, May 2nd\u00a0starting immediately after school.\u00a0 You need to bring workout clothes and tennis shoes.\u00a0 You can bring wrestling shoes if you have them.\u00a0 No experience necessary.\u00a0 You can sign-up with Mrs. Evans or Coach Ashburn.<\/span><\/p>\n

GOLF TRYOUTS:<\/b> Golf tryouts: Tryouts for the 2017 Lion and Lady Lion golf teams will be\u00a0May 15th-17th\u00a0at\u00a03:30\u00a0at Searcy Country Club.\u00a0 Students must have a current physical to tryout.\u00a0 Free Physicals at school are on\u00a0March 31st.\u00a0 Students can sign up and pick up an information sheet and physical form in Coach Turney’s room (117).\u00a0 There will be a\u00a0<\/span>MANDATORY<\/b>\u00a0meeting for all students trying out on\u00a0Wednesday, May 10th at 3:15\u00a0in Coach Turney’s room.\u00a0 You\u00a0<\/span>MUST\u00a0<\/b>sign up, have a physical, return the information sheet, and attend the meeting in order to tryout.<\/span><\/p>\n

BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:<\/b> \u00a0Tryouts for next year’s SHS boys’ basketball team for all spring sport athletes will be on\u00a0May 22nd and 23rd\u00a0at\u00a01:00\u00a0in the Annex gym.\u00a0 Any student who wishes to tryout must sign up with Coach White and have a current physical.\u00a0 For more information see Coach White or Coach Turney.<\/span><\/p>\n

GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:<\/b> Tryouts for the girls basketball team will be\u00a0May 18th, 22nd and 23rd from\u00a01:30 – 3:30\u00a0each day.\u00a0 If you plan on trying out you will need to have a physical and attend every day of tryouts.\u00a0 If you need additional information contact Coach Birdsong room 315 at Searcy High School.<\/span><\/p>\n

IMMUNIZATIONS<\/b>: \u00a0Once you have turned\u00a0<\/span>16 years old<\/b>, a 2nd MCV4 (meningitis) shot will be required.\u00a0 Please bring an updated shot record to the nurse as soon as you receive this shot.<\/span><\/p>\n

SCHOLARSHIPS:<\/b><\/p>\n

SEA SCHOLARSHIP FOR GRADUATING SENIORS<\/b> : If your parent works for Searcy Public Schools, please stop by Mrs. Cleveland’s room to pick up an application for the SEA Scholarship. These are due back to Mrs. Cleveland no later than\u00a0April 28.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

TEXTBOOK RENTAL SCHOLARSHIP<\/b>: If you are a senior and will be attending ASU-Searcy, ASU-Beebe, ASU-Heber Springs or Harding University, Textbook Brokers will be holding a random drawing\u00a0May 31st\u00a0for (1) $250.00 textbook rental scholarship. Other prizes (1) $150.00 textbook rental scholarship, (6) $100.00 textbook rental scholarships. The form may be picked up in the Guidance Center and must be submitted to them by\u00a0May 29th.<\/span><\/p>\n

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS<\/b>:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FCCLA:<\/b> FCCLA banquet will be on\u00a0May 2nd at 6pm.\u00a0 Please sign up in FACS room by\u00a0April 26th.\u00a0 Cost will be $5.00 per person including guests. Members interested in helping with making keychains during a free period or after school.\u00a0 Check with Ms. Johnston\u00a0on Tuesday\u00a0to sign up.<\/span><\/p>\n
