HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL:<\/b> Students interested in cast\/crew positions for the fall musical School House Rock Live Jr. should come by either the drama room or the library between classes or before or after school to pick up either a tech application or an audition packet.\u00a0 Students interested in a tech crew chief or designer position need to also set an interview with Mrs. Taylor THIS WEEK. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS<\/b>: Due to several logistical issues, the deadline to turn in a petition for Student Council class president, vice president, secretary, or representative has been extended until\u00a0Friday\u00a0at\u00a03:30. 9th graders can sign up and get a petition from their English teacher. 10-12th graders can see Mrs. Jones in room 320. Campaign materials may be posted as soon as the petition is returned and approved.\u00a0 Voting will be in the English classes on\u00a0Friday, September 1. Campaign materials will need to be taken down and disposed of by\u00a0Monday, Sept.4th.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIOR ADS<\/b>:<\/span> Extra senior recognition ads are located in the offices. They are due\u00a0October 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS<\/b>:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

YOUTH TO YOUTH:<\/b> Youth to Youth will meet\u00a0Friday, August 25 at 7:40 am\u00a0in Mrs. Delgado\u00b4s room, #325.\u00a0 Please bring membership dues.\u00a0 Dues are $5 for returning members and $7 for new members.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

FTA:<\/b> Students in all grades may sign up for FTA in Mrs. Cook’s room starting\u00a0Monday, August 21. Dues are $5.00. Information regarding club activities will also be available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

FCA:<\/b> “FCA meetings will be Thursdays at\u00a07:15\u00a0in the hospitality room in the gym beginning this Thursday.\u00a0 ALL students are invited.”<\/span><\/p>\n

FCCLA:<\/b> FCCLA is starting the collection of dues.\u00a0 The dues are $12.00 and can be paid to Ms. Johnston in the FACS room 104.<\/span><\/p>\n

SPANISH CLUB:<\/b> Any student interested in joining Spanish Club, must see Miss Haynes before\u00a0September 6\u00a0to pay dues and vote for Sweetheart and officers.\u00a0 Only paid members will be allowed to vote.<\/span><\/p>\n

CHESS CLUB:<\/b> The first Chess Club practice will be\u00a0Tuesday, August 29\u00a0from\u00a03:05-4 pm\u00a0in Room 324.\u00a0 If you have any questions please contact Miss Haynes.\u00a0 Students of all playing abilities are welcome to join.<\/span><\/p>\n

FBLA:<\/b> Students who have taken a business class or are currently taking a business class that wish to join FBLA may begin paying dues starting\u00a0Monday, August 28.\u00a0 Dues are $15 and paid members may vote for Homecoming sweetheart.\u00a0 See Mrs. Akridge in room 206. Our first meeting will be\u00a0Wednesday, September 6 at 7:35\u00a0in room 206.<\/span><\/p>\n

DRAMA CLUB<\/b>: The first Drama Club meeting will be\u00a0Tues. Aug. 29 at 7:30 am\u00a0in the Drama Room.\u00a0 Dues for new & returning members is $10.\u00a0 We will be voting for Club Sweetheart; providing information on Thespian Festival, Haunted Theater, and Musical Auditions, and showing the new\u00a0shirt design (cost $15).<\/span><\/p>\n
