HOMECOMING ROYALTY &SWEETHEART MEETING :<\/b> There will be a <\/span>mandatory<\/b> meeting for all royalty and sweethearts on\u00a0Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 a.m.\u00a0in the annex gym to discuss homecoming.\u00a0 Escorts DO NOT need to attend<\/span>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PEP RALLY:<\/b> There will be a pep rally for grades 10-12 on\u00a0Friday, Sept. 8 at 2:40.\u00a0 Students will be dismissed at\u00a02:35.\u00a0 Come ready to cheer on our Lion football team!<\/span><\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS<\/b> to FCCLA Sweetheart Sara Feather!<\/span><\/p>\n

PSAT:<\/b> Any junior wanting to sign up for the PSAT in October needs to sign up in the guidance center.\u00a0 The test costs $16.\u00a0 You must have the money when you come to sign up in the guidance center.\u00a0 The deadline to sign up is\u00a0Friday, September 8th.<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT COUNCIL<\/b>:<\/span> Student Council will meet on\u00a0Thursday, Sept 21st at 7:35 AM\u00a0in Mrs. Jones’s room 320. This is for all members, including those student body\u00a0officers elected in the spring and the newly elected class officers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIOR ADS<\/b>:<\/span> Extra senior recognition ads are located in the offices. They are due\u00a0October 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS<\/b>:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BETA CLUB:<\/b> Our first meeting will be on\u00a0September 20th.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FTA:<\/b> Students in all grades may sign up for FTA in Mrs. Cook’s room starting\u00a0Monday, August 21. Dues are $5.00. Information regarding club activities will also be available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

FCCLA:<\/b> FCCLA is starting the collection of dues.\u00a0 The dues are $12.00 and can be paid to Ms. Johnston in the FACS room 104.<\/span><\/p>\n

HOSA<\/b>: HOSA Meeting Thursday, Sept. 7 at 7:35 in the Field House. <\/span><\/p>\n

SPANISH CLUB:<\/b> Any student interested in joining Spanish Club, must see Miss Haynes before\u00a0September 6\u00a0to pay dues and vote for Sweetheart and officers.\u00a0 Only paid members will be allowed to vote.<\/span><\/p>\n

FBLA:<\/b> Students who have taken a business class or are currently taking a business class that wish to join FBLA may begin paying dues starting\u00a0Monday, August 28.\u00a0 Dues are $15 and paid members may vote for Homecoming sweetheart.\u00a0 See Mrs. Akridge in room 206. Our first meeting will be\u00a0Wednesday, September 6 at 7:35\u00a0in room 206.<\/span><\/p>\n

FISHING CLUB:<\/b> There will be a fishing meeting\u00a0September 6\u00a0for new and returning members in Mrs. Jones’ Room 320 at\u00a03:30pm. If you have any questions please email Coach Rony Jones (<\/span>rjones@searcyschools.org<\/span><\/a>).<\/b><\/p>\n
