PSAT:<\/b> Any junior wanting to sign up for the PSAT in October needs to sign up in the guidance center.\u00a0 The test costs $16.\u00a0 You must have the money when you come to sign up in the guidance center.\u00a0 The deadline to sign up is\u00a0Friday, September 8th.<\/span><\/p>\n

COLLEGE PLANNING FOR PARENTS\/STUDENTS<\/b>: Glenn Dillard, Assistant VP for Enrollment Management at Harding University, will be hosting\u00a0two college planning\u00a0sessions for\u00a0<\/span>parents of high school juniors and seniors<\/span>\u00a0on Tuesday evening,\u00a0September 19, from\u00a07 until 8 p.m., and then again\u00a0on Thursday\u00a0evening,\u00a0September 21, from\u00a07 until 8 p.m.\u00a0in the\u00a0Community Room at the First Community Bank University Branch\u00a0located at 800 E. Beebe-Capps Expressway\u00a0in\u00a0Searcy.\u00a0 I hope that many parents of your students will be able to attend one of these events.\u00a0 These sessions are not “come to Harding” sessions, but rather an hour when I will share very practical information on how easily\u00a0one can obtain financial aid to attend a college or university of their choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

EXPLORING EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE<\/b>–a travel consortium of Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Rice University, and the University of Chicago will be in Little Rock,\u00a07:00 p.m.\u00a0September 24at the Little Rock Marriott.\u00a0 Prospective students and their families are welcome to attend<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDENT COUNCIL<\/b>:<\/span> Student Council will meet on\u00a0Thursday, Sept 21st at 7:35 AM\u00a0in Mrs. Jones’s room 320. This is for all members, including those student body\u00a0officers elected in the spring and the newly elected class officers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
