FOR OUR STUDENTS SAFETY<\/b>: beginning Monday March 5, they are NOT allowed to walk outside to get their lunches from anyone. Lunches have to be brought into the building.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS<\/b> : Please announce that High School Basketball Tryouts for the boys who do not play a spring sport will be\u00a0March 13th and March 15th\u00a0after school in the high school gym. You must have a current physical to tryout.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FCCLA MEMBERS:<\/b> Sara Feather, Chloe Long, and Bailey Mills received a gold rating at the state STAR events competition, finishing in the top two.\u00a0 They are now qualified for the National competition this summer. Congratulations!!<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIORS<\/b>: Please remember we have local scholarships posted on the Searcy School District website under the Guidance Center then under documents.\u00a0 The deadlines are fast approaching.<\/span><\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS<\/b> to Austin Crawford for earning Microsoft Master Certification. In order to become a Microsoft Master the student must gain certification in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word Expert and Excel Expert.\u00a0 Congratulations Austin!!<\/span><\/p>\n

PROM CLOSET:<\/b> The first SHS Prom Closet shopping day will be held on the 3rd floor of the SHS PAC on\u00a0Wednesday, February 21 from 3:30-5 P.M.\u00a0Any student attending the SHS prom is welcome to check out the formalwear inventory. A second shopping day will be held\u00a0Wednesday, March 14.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span> CHEER\/LIONSTEPPER TRYOUTS<\/b>:<\/span> Any girls interested in trying out for either cheer or Lionsteppers must sign one of the signup sheets that are located in either office. There will be a mandatory meeting at\u00a05:30\u00a0on\u00a0March 8th\u00a0in the main gym, one parent must attend. Please direct questions regarding cheer to Ms. Cramblet and questions regarding dance to Ms. Simpson.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lionsteppers Dance Fitness Class: <\/b>\u00a0The Lionsteppers will be hosting a dance fitness class for four weeks on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. in the SHS annex \u00a02\/20-3\/13. The cost is $5 per class; attend one or all. No registration is needed. High school students, teachers and staff from all campuses and families are all welcome to come (ladies only). \u00a0This is meant to be fun so no previous dance experience, skill or rhythm is required. The proceeds will help us pay for summer camp and possible technique clinics. Please email <\/span>asimpson@searcyschools.org<\/span><\/a> for any questions. <\/span><\/p>\n

CLINICAL INTERNSHIP<\/b>11th grade students interested in applying for Clinical Internship their senior year can pick up applications in the Guidance Center.\u00a0 Completed applications are due in the Guidance Center by\u00a0March 16.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS<\/b>:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

KEY CLUB<\/b>: There will be a Key Club meeting\u00a0Tuesday, March 6th at 7:35\u00a0in the cafeteria. Please be there on time.\u00a0 We are also sponsoring our Spring Key Club Blood Drive on that day.\u00a0 Key Club members see Mr. Snow in Rm 112 about helping out with the drive.\u00a0 Students who are interested in giving blood can do so if they are 17 or older. If they are 16 they must have a parental permission form filled and brought with them to sign up.\u00a0 See Mr. Snow for those forms.\u00a0 Students need to make sure they have cleared missing class to give blood with their teacher. You cannot miss a teacher’s class without their permission.<\/span><\/p>\n
