GRADUATES:<\/b>\u00a0 There will be Transcript Request forms for 8 SEMESTER TRANSCRIPT (final transcript with graduation date) available in both school offices and in the counselor’s office beginning\u00a0Monday, April 16.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>THE REGISTRAR WILL NOT SEND A\u00a0 FINAL TRANSCRIPT TO A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY WITHOUT A COMPLETED 8 SEMESTER REQUEST FORM.<\/span><\/p>\n

WRESTLING TRYOUTS:<\/b> \u00a0\u00a0For any boy or girl that would like to join the wrestling team.\u00a0 The Searcy High School Wrestling team will be holding tryouts<\/span>\u00a0May 1st and 2nd\u00a0<\/span>from<\/span>\u00a03:30 to 6pm\u00a0<\/span>in the Wrestling Room (Old Field House).\u00a0 You must have a physical to tryout.\u00a0 Go by Coach Ashburn or Mrs. Evans room to pick up a flyer and sign up.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2018 SHS GRADUATION DVD PRE-ORDERS:<\/b> Pick up your DVD order form in either office. Each DVD is $20, and the money must be turned in with your order. Please have exact change or check will be accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n

YEARBOOK APPLICATIONS<\/b>:for the 2018-19 Lion staff are available.\u00a0 Please see Mrs. Holeyfield in room 539 if you are interested.\u00a0 Applications are due by\u00a0April 30, 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIORS: <\/b>The Will McGary Memorial Award has now been posted to the scholarship website. Please make note that this scholarship MUST BE MAILED BY THE APPLICANT to the address specified on the application.<\/span><\/p>\n

TEXTBOOK BROKERS<\/b> is offering a “winner by random drawing” scholarship for textbook rentals if you are planning to attend Harding University, ASU Beebe, ASU Searcy, or ASU Heber Springs. Please come by the Guidance Center for a form. The application can be mailed, faxed, emailed or submitted online at\u00a0<\/span>www.searcybooks.com<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

SENIORS<\/b>: If you have been accepted by an accredited school or cooperative program in architecture or construction-related engineering program, please come by the Guidance Center for an application for The Society of American Military Engineers Scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIORS:<\/b>\u00a0 If you would like to purchase extra Jostens announcements, we have some available in the East office with Ms. Daves. \u00a0Cost is $1.00 each.<\/span><\/p>\n

SCHOLARSHIPS<\/b>: Textbook Corner will award four $250.00 scholarships to incoming freshman students attending ASU-Beebe in the fall semester. The applicant must be attending at the Beebe camps and be enrolled as a full-time student. Applications available in the Guidance Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

GRADUATES:<\/b>\u00a0 If you have items ordered from Jostens please come by the east office and see Ms. Daves to pick them up.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

IMMUNIZATIONS<\/b>: If a student has turned 16 years old this school year, a 2nd MCV4 (Meningitis) immunization is required after turning 16 years old.\u00a0 Please bring a copy of your shot record to the nurse, once you have received the 2nd MCV4 immunization.<\/span><\/p>\n

GOLF TRYOUTS:<\/b>\u00a0Tryouts for the 2018 SHS Lion and Lady Lion golf teams will be\u00a0May 14th-15th\u00a0at Searcy Country Club.\u00a0 Any student wishing to tryout MUST sign up in Coach Turney’s room (117), have a physical, and return the information sheet.\u00a0 There will be a MANDATORY meeting in Coach Turney’s room on\u00a0May 10th at 3:15\u00a0for all students wishing to tryout.\u00a0 Free physicals at school are scheduled for\u00a0April 6th.\u00a0 Physical forms and information sheets can be picked up in Coach Turney’s room.<\/span><\/p>\n
