\nJust a reminder:\u00a0 Wrestling tryouts are this Tues and Wed starting after school until\u00a06:00pm.\u00a0 You must have a current
\nphysical.\u00a0 Bring athletic clothes and tennis shoes.
\n2019 SENIORS: There are 49 of upcoming seniors (Class of 2019) who have NOT turned in their schedule request forms.\u00a0 If
\nMrs. Roddy does not have these by\u00a0Thursday\u00a0MORNING she will create these schedules for the students.\u00a0 If Mrs. Roddy
\ncompletes the schedule for a student she will NOT change what she creates. If these students want any input into their senior
\nschedules they have until\u00a0Thursday\u00a0morning at\u00a09:00 am\u00a0to get them to her.
\nPETITIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS, STUDENT BODY AND CLASS OFFICERS\/REPRESENTATIVES: will be
\navailable starting\u00a0Monday\u00a0morning 4\/30 from Mrs. Jones in room 320. Petitions will also be available though the English
\nteachers. Every student who gets a petition will still need to come by Mrs. Jones\u2019s room to verify they\u2019ve read the campaign
\nguidelines.
\nThe election dates will be as follows:
\nPetitions:\u00a0Monday 4\/30; due by\u00a0Fri 5\/4 at 3:05
\nCampaigning may begin on\u00a0Monday 5\/8- Fri 5\/11
\nVoting will be on\u00a0Fri 5\/11\u00a0in the English classes
\nResults will be announced\u00a0Monday 5\/14<\/p>\n
TENNIS TRYOUTS: Tryouts for the 2018 varsity tennis team will begin on May 14-15 @ 5:00 at the SHS courts.\u00a0 You
\nmust have a current physical in order to try out.\u00a0 No exceptions.\u00a0 Returning players must try out. The top 10 players on ladies'
\nand men's sides will make varsity.\u00a0 Everyone else will be invited to play in the SYTL. \u00a0Students may begin signing up for
\ntennis tryouts on\u00a0Mon. April 30th\u00a0in Doc Watson's room (317).
\nANY GT STUDENT : entering grades 10-12 this fall and are interested in attending "Arkansas and the World:Model United
\nNations Summer Camp" please come by the Guidance Center for more information or by logging on to the website
\nat\u00a0http:\/\/uca.edu\/\u2026\/model-united- natio\u2026\/arkansas-and- the-world\/
\nIMMUNIZATIONS: If a student has turned 16 years old this school year, a 2nd MCV4 (Meningitis) immunization is
\nrequired after turning 16 years old.\u00a0 Please bring a copy of your shot record to the nurse, once you have received the 2nd
\nMCV4 immunization.<\/p>\n
FINAL VARSITY BASKETBALL TRYOUTS :The final chance to tryout for varsity basketball team will be\u00a0May 21 and
\n22\u00a0at\u00a01:00-2:30 pm\u00a0in the High School Gym. Students must have a current physical on file with the school to tryout.
\nGOLF TRYOUTS:\u00a0Tryouts for the 2018 SHS Lion and Lady Lion golf teams will be\u00a0May 14th-15th\u00a0at Searcy Country
\nClub.\u00a0 Any student wishing to tryout MUST sign up in Coach Turney's room (117), have a physical, and return the
\ninformation sheet.\u00a0 There will be a MANDATORY meeting in Coach Turney's room on\u00a0May 10th at 3:15\u00a0for all students
\nwishing to tryout.\u00a0 Free physicals at school are scheduled for\u00a0April 6th.\u00a0 Physical forms and information sheets can be picked
\nup in Coach Turney's room.
