THE SHS FOOD PANTRY IS OPEN!<\/b>\u00a0 Don’t go hungry over the weekend.\u00a0 Talk to any teacher, see Mrs. Little in room 102 or Mrs. Edelmann in room 204.\u00a0 We have food packs ready for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

SENIOR AD PACKETS<\/b> are now available.\u00a0 You may get one from your English teacher or either office.\u00a0 Ads are due by\u00a0October 12.<\/span><\/p>\n

WILLIAMS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY<\/b> will hold their Senior Preview Days on\u00a0September 21,\u00a0October 5th and October 19th. Interested students should apply at\u00a0<\/span>www.williamsbu.edu\/senior\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

PEP RALLY:<\/b> There will be a high pep rally on\u00a0Friday, Sept. 21\u00a0for grades 10-12 at\u00a02:40.<\/span><\/p>\n

FUTURE FALL FEST<\/b>: Searcy High School will host our Annual Fall Future Fest on on\u00a0October 8.\u00a0 We will have all seniors go to the cafeteria from\u00a08:05-8:45\u00a0and juniors from\u00a08:55-9:35. Parents are welcome to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n

ATTENTION 9TH GRADERS!<\/b>\u00a0 If you are interested in running for student council, get an information sheet and petition from your Heart Bridge teacher or Mrs. Edelmann in room 204.\u00a0 They are due to Mrs. Edelmann by\u00a0Friday, September 21 at 3:15.\u00a0 Elections will be on\u00a0Friday, September 28\u00a0in Heart Bridge classes<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY PACK PREVIEW DAY<\/b> will be on\u00a0Saturday, October 6. This will be their only preview day this semester and is separate from the Red Wolf Ready Academic Open House events.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pack Preview Day is open to juniors and seniors, as well as their family members\/guests. The day will consist of an information fair, academic sessions, student services and involvement panels, and campus\/residence hall\/NYIT tours.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is their most in-depth event to give students a glimpse into life at A-State. The event is completely free, but students are required to register at\u00a0<\/span>www.astate.edu\/packpreview<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

COLLEGE 101 FOR PARENTS<\/b>: On\u00a0Monday, September 24 from 7-8 p.m.\u00a0at the First Community Bank (<\/span>800 E. Beebe Capps Expy<\/span><\/a>. in Searcy), Glenn Dillard will present College 101 for Parents.\u00a0 This free session will let parents know what they should be doing now to prepare for their college experience regardless of where their child may attend college.\u00a0 Mr. Dillard has been woking in admissions and financial aid in higher education for 30 years.\u00a0 He is currently the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management at Harding University.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PSAT:<\/b> Searcy High School will give the PSAT to ALL 10th grade students on October 10.\u00a0 10th grades students do NOT have to register. <\/span>Any 11th grade student who is interested in taking the PSAT on\u00a0October 10\u00a0can sign up in the Guidance Center starting\u00a0Monday, September 11.\u00a0 The cost to test is $17\/student and is due at sign up.\u00a0 At the time of sign up students will receive a practice test and information booklet to prepare for the test.\u00a0 The sooner a student signs up the more time they will have to prepare for the test.\u00a0 The deadline to sign up is\u00a0September 21.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

9<\/b>TH <\/b>GRADE PEP RALLY<\/b>: The Pep Rally has been moved to Thursday Sept. 20<\/span>th<\/span>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

THE ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC<\/b>. is offering their Most Valuable Student Scholarship. Application Deadline is\u00a0<\/span>November 15, 2018<\/span>.
