Basketball fundraiser hypes up players, fans for upcoming season

Jammin’ in the Jungle is a new event sponsored by the basketball team in order to showcase the teams and get the fans excited.


“Well, it’s like a community pep rally for everybody to come see our senior high girls and senior high boys team get ready for our upcoming season,” said sophomore Keke

“It’s like a sneak peak of our boys and girls basketball team and what the upcoming season is going to be like,” said junior K.C. Ward


The event featured games, contests, and enjoyment for everybody.


“We had scrimmages between the girls and boys basketball; Amaje and Brittany Broadway had a three-point contest,” said Ward.


The players hoped that this event helped everyone get eager for this season.

“Lately we haven’t been too good in our seasons and this year I get to play with my sister and Tree and so its going to be good. Everybody is Hyped up now,” said Broadway.

The pep rally type of event not only got students hyped up for basketball season and it also served a very good cause.


“They brought cans instead of money for the entry fee and donate them,” explained Broadway.


Overall, Jammin’ in the Jungle was a huge success and it will help the basketball teams move forward throughout their season.
