Cafeteria ladies keep students fed, happy

In the Cafeteria, Marcita Reynolds shows the true meaning of love and what it means to be a lunch lady.

“I go to Ms. Marcita’s line because she always remembers my number and makes me feel special,” junior Hannah Laughlin said.

“I love all of the kids, I really do,” Reynolds said.

Reynolds line is always full because of the hospitality that is shown at the register.

“I always try to memorize their numbers,” Reynolds said. “I let them eat even when they are low on money, and if they

are low on money sometimes I call their parents.”

Reynolds used to serve at the junior high, but now she serves at the high school making sure every student’s stomach is full.

“She’s like a mother to me,” said junior Alex Hinton. “I met her in eighth grade and when I had to graduate, I said goodbye.” Hinton said he was so happy when he found out she had moved to the high school.

Reynolds said she is not the only one doing her job in the cafeteria and agrees that all of the lunch ladies do a good job and make sure students all have a great meal every day.
