Every year, hundreds of Pigmy Blue-tongue Skinks are killed in the countries of New Guinea, Tasmania, Australia and surrounding areas due to feral predators such as pigs, foxes and dogs.

So many have died, the species has been added to the endangered species list. This has to stop!!

Okay, so maybe I’m not that passionate about animals, or any type of skink for that matter. But, I do have something to say about growing up.

Almost every day I see and hear people talking about how they’re so ready for college and just want to fast forward into the future.

This really confuses me, because that’s the last thing I want to think about right now with college coming along with me living on my own for the first time ever.

Instead, I’ve heard about a new motto many of you young trendsetters are using today.

YOLO, as it’s commonly known, is an acronym meaning “You only live once”.

It came from a song called “The Motto” by the rapper Drake and it’s also endorsed by other big names such as Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

Despite it being such an obvious quote, as recent studies have shown that you do actually only live once, it has become quite popular.

Now, I don’t really know how to live a complete YOLO lifestyle but to me, it seems a lot less stressful than spending most of your time worrying about the future when you only live once!
