Searcy (LP) When getting ready for prom, you always plan what you are going to wear or your makeup. But what about if something happens at prom? Makeup smudge, deodorant smearing, or oily face are a few things you do not want to happen while at prom. Well im here to prevent that! Prom is supposed to be fun and exciting and for you to be thinking about one thing the whole prom will make your prom suck. Your prom clutch essentials may differ on the size of your clutch or your type of dress. If your clutch is larger than you can hold more essentials but even if your clutch is smaller don’t fret things can work out. If your dress had sleeves or no sleeves might differ if you want to bring deodorant. Everyone at prom wears makeup and dancing on the dance floor might make you sweat or your face get oily so always remember oil blotting sheets.

Wearing lipstick it’s the hardest because it can smudge or come off very fast, so maybe put  in your bag your lip color after you get done with your makeup. Bring a small perfume bottle or a perfume sample would be the perfect size for your clutch. If you have your hair up then bobby pins and hairspray would be great for a quick touch up on your hair if it falls.

I interviewed junior Victoria Mcmahan about prom which she is super excited for. Her clutch matches her shoes which works very well, in her clutch she is bringing perfume and deodorant like normal. Also bringing safety pins and a sewing kit just in case of a wardrobe malfunction. “I might be overreacting but better safe than sorry”. Prom is supposed to be a  fun night, so for a dress malfunction to ruin that night would be terrible. Have fun and be safe.
