HOMECOMING PICURES: Homecoming Pictures may be picked up in the East Office.

UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS is now offering a scholarship to students who complete the FAFSA early.

• $1,000 annual renewable scholarship worth up to $4,000 over your enrollment at Ozarks
• File between October 1 – February 15 at www.fafsa.ed.gov
• Add our School Code: 001094
• Available to full-time enrolled students
• Scholarship will be applied to student account

PEP RALLY: There will be a Pep Rally for grades 10th-12th on Friday Oct. 26that 2:40

HARDING UNIVERSITY APPLICATION AND FINANCIAL AID HELP NIGHT AT SHS: Seniors who are interested in attending Harding University may come (with their parents) to Searcy High School the evening of November 1 to receive assistance in completing the on-line application and the FAFSA.  For students who apply to Harding that evening the $50 application fee will be waived.  Interested students/parents must sign up in the Guidance Center by Friday, October 26.

A-STATE:  Any student who applies for admission to A-State before October 31 will be entered to win a $1,000 scholarship. Please note, this WILL also include students who applied early for admission. Students can apply online at www.astate.edu, and the scholarship winner will be announced on November 1. 

Red Ribbon Week 2018 is Oct 22 – 26, 2018.  The theme is “Life is Your Journey…Travel DRUG-FREE!”   The dress up days are as follows:

Wed – “Lei” off drugs!  (Wear Hawaiian shirts / leis)

Thurs – Travel to the Future – Your Future is bright if you stay away from drugs!  (Dress as your future job.)

Fri – Team up against drugs – (Wear your favorite jersey.)

THE ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC. is offering their Most Valuable Student Scholarship. Application Deadline is November 15, 2018. Seniors may apply online at: https://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/MVS.cfm. If you need further information, please contact the Guidance Center.  Elks Post # 2247

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS: 

FINE ARTS: The Fine Arts Club will be taking a field trip on Thursday November 1st to Heber Springs. You must have your permission slips turned in before November 1st or you will not be able to go on the trip.

STUDENT COUNCIL will meet on Monday, October 29 in Mrs. Little’s room (102) at 7:30.
