LOST AND FOUND: The Lost and Found basket is growing in the West Office.  If you have misplaced a jacket, lunch bag or other item, please come check the basket.

 

ASVAB INTERPRETATION: Monday, November 26 we will have an Army representative on campus at 8:00 to conduct a test interpretation for the students who took the ASVAB.  Students who took the ASVAB need to report to the cafeteria.

 

SHS CHOIR HOLIDAY CAFÉ will be NOVEMBER 29 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets will go on sale next week for $5.00. Solo and small group performances by members of the choir. Cocoa, coffee and baked goods will be available for purchase.

ASMSAA representative from the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts will be on our campus on November 30 to talk to interested students.  Any 9th or 10th grade student who has a 3.5 GPA on their core courses is welcome to sign up to meet with the representative.    Interested students must sign up in the Guidance Center by November 29.

GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL:11th grade students interested in attending Governor’s School at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville this summer (July7-August 3) can sign up in the Guidance Center.  Programs of study are;  Cybersecurity Specialty Program, Drama, Visual Arts, Mathematics, Social Science, English/Language Arts, Natural Science, Choral Music, and Instrumental Music.  The deadline to sign up is November 30. 

CONGRATULATIONS to Searcy Drama students Ethan Million, Emily Provence, Stella Engel, Ashlynn Foster, Vannah Brown, and Gabi Hammonds who the competed at the 50th Annual Arkansas Student Congress Nov. 11-13. They received the following awards and designations:

COLLEGE DAYS AND PERSONAL DAYS must be pre-approved by the office.  College days are only for Seniors.  There are request forms in both offices to see if you qualify for Personal days.

 

BUBBLE BETTER is an ACT math and science prep class.  Science will be offered November 25 (Sunday2:00-5:00 pm and the math class will be offered December 1 (Saturday9:00-12:30 pm.  Interested students can pick up information in the Guidance Center.

 

 FBLA is hosting a fundraiser to support the March of Dimes foundation.  Students will be set up outside the cafeteria during both lunches on Wednesday, November 14 through Friday, November 16 to collect donations.  Everyone is encouraged to wear purple on Friday, November 16 in support of World Prematurity Day.

 

10th Grade Students: BMI testing will be performed on November 26th, 2018.
