A ball game, it is played on a rectangular grass field, or occasionally on artificial turf, with a goal at each end of the field. The object of the game is to score by maneuvering the ball into the opposing goal; only the goalkeepers may use their hands or arms to propel the ball in general play. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extended time, depending on the format of the competition. Soccer is a known sport made in England invented a game of running around kicking a ball in the mid-19th century (although the Chinese claim to have played a version centuries earlier). They called it “football” not because the ball is played with the feet, but because the game is played on foot rather on horseback. It’s love all over the continents by many people.

Inside of the soccer team of SHS (Searcy High School), they have problems like other school teams because nobody’s perfect and we all make mistakes. They encourage each other instead of tearing each other down. It’s apart of the game, you can’t grow together if you leave each other behind, that’s why they help each other all the time because they are all leaders at points except for one. Ulises Reyna, a 12th grader at Searcy Schools District is the leader of the soccer team. “I’ve been the soccer team leader for a year now and I’ve been and the soccer team for a year now”, says Ulises. With such a high position comes with high expectations.

The Searcy soccer team appreciates each other and works hard to make each other better by practicing and teamwork. “I appreciate my team because they work hard, they show respect and they encourage each other”, says Ulises.
