10TH & 11TH   GRADE ASSEMBLY:   There will be a 10th grade assembly Wednesday at 9:00 am and 11th grade assembly at 9:50 am. The assembly will be in the cafeteria

SPRING PLAY: Audition packets and tech applications for the spring play The Borrowers may be picked up outside the Drama room.  Deadline for digital audition submissions and tech interviews is Fri. Jan. 18.  See Mrs. Taylor in the Drama Room for details.

PEP RALLY: There will be a varsity Pep rally at 2:30 on Friday Jan. 18.  We will introduce all the spring sport athletes. 

CONGRATULATIONS to the following SHS Band members for being named to the Region IV All-Region Band. They will attend the all-region band clinic on Friday, January 18 and will perform a concert on Saturday, January 19 at the SHS PAC starting at 2:00 pm. Great job!

ATTENTION 11TH GRADE STUDENTS!! The Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation is offering their scholarship to any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2020 and is in American Citizen or legal permanent resident. All applications must be completed online and submitted by 5:00 PM EST, Wednesday, January 23. THE WHITE COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT is offering the 2018-2019 Arkansas Association of Conservation Districts “Dave Ferguson” Scholarship Contest. This contest will give a young person in our county the opportunity to win up to $500.00 towards college expenses when they choose a conservation-related course of student at an accredited Arkansas college or university. The winner will also be eligible to compete for scholarship funds at the area and state level contests. An essay is required. Closing date for the entry is February 22, 2019.
