Teachers Missing High School Seniors With Graduation Upcoming

Searcy, AR (LP) — The time of graduation is a big moment in a high school senior’s life. The exciting time when they go from school to the real world (as put by multiple teachers) According to Emily Teed, “Graduation is like the start of a big change for me.  I feel like once you graduate you’re in a waiting period between high school and college, and I think it’s just a time to have fun with life.” The real world can be a fun and harsh place having things like bills, freedom, and going into the workplace. College can also be a challenge for the high school graduates having to work and study almost 24/7 without almost any sleep. The teacher in high school though will miss our graduates. According to Mrs. Webb, “It makes me sad to see them leave, but at the same time I am excited for them.  I know they have worked several years to get to this point. So it is a time to celebrate.” Sometimes high school graduates will throw after graduation parties to celebrate the end of school and the start of real life and college.

The graduates will receive high school diplomas for the workforce and college and honor students get a cord with their cap and gown. According to Tanner Thomas, “I hope graduation will be fun and I hope that most of my family will be able to be there to see me walk to the podium and receive my diploma.” The high school seniors’ teachers around this time think about their favorite year at the school. According to Mrs. Webb, “I have two favorite years 2012 and 2013. My son graduated in 2012 and my daughter graduated in 2013. Those were very special to me. Other than that, all of the years are special in their own way. Each class has its own personality. Just like in life, you make stronger connections with some classes, but you love them all in their own way.” A celebration for both the students and the teachers.
