CONGRATULATIONS to Emily Baker for being named to the 2019 UCA Honors Wind Ensemble.  Based on a statewide nomination system, she was chosen to participate in a two-day clinic/concert on the campus of UCA on December 5-6.  Miranda Webb and Katherine Peters were chosen as alternates, as well.  Congratulations to these talented band students!

 

HOMECOMING PICTURES: May be picked up in the East Office

 

LIBRARY FINES: The library will accept canned food for the food drive as payment for library fines.  Each food item will count as 50₵ toward your fine.

BLOOD DRIVE: Key Club will be holding a blood drive November 14th on campus. Any student 16 or older may give blood with a signed parent/guardian permission slip. There will be a table outside of the lunch room both lunches starting Tuesday, November 5th to sign up for a time slot to give. Any student giving blood will receive an Arkansas Razorbacks t-shirt at the time of their donation. See Mrs. Butler with any questions between classes. 

Only students with an approved appointment time can give blood during the Blood Drive on Thursday, November 14th. Permission slips to donate must be turned in to Mrs. Butler by Tuesday, November 12th in order to donate- NO PERMISSION SLIP = NO DONATING!

 

 

SOCCER TRYOUTS: Tryouts for boys soccer will be held at the practice field by the baseball/softball fields on Thursday November 14 from 3:30 – 4:30 for anyone interested. This will be our 2nd and last tryout and our team will be made up after this tryout for the spring season. 

JOSTENS REPS: will be on campus Thursday, Nov 21st during both lunches to deliver class rings.  They will be in English Lab 111.

 

HENDERSON STATE: will host one of its annual Reddie Days on Thursday, November 14.  Any senior interested in attending Henderson State may want to sign up for this campus visit.  Students can pick up further information in the Guidance Center.  Additional dates are February 13 & April 16.

 

FOOD DRIVE: We will have a food drive from Nov. 11-15 to benefit Searcy families for Thanksgiving.  Please bring unperishable food to your 1st period class- show Searcy how we care for our community!

 

VANGUARD DAY at ASU Beebe will be held Friday, November 15.  This is a great opportunity for seniors to see what ASU-Beebe has to offer them.
Registration can be done at the link below.

http://www.asub.edu/admissions/vanguard-day-reg.aspx. Check-in will begin at 8:00am and they will begin the festivities at 9:00am. They anticipate the event to end close to noon or 1:00pm. 

 CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS: 

Youth to Youth will meet on Thursday, November 14th at 7:40 in Mrs. Hightower’s room which is #113. New members are still welcome. We will be discussing fundraising activities for the club.
