The annual Hall of Honor banquet was held in the Searcy High School cafeteria to induct four new members as well as to honor a few others.

The evening began with a meal provided by the Searcy food staff. Many guests attended, including Governor Mike Beebe. Among the inductees were  Calvin Estes, Carrie Ann Washington, Watson Bell,  Betty Wallis and also Phillis Wood.

The inductees’ children all had great things to say about their parents and his accomplishment.

“My mother is a remarkable woman,” said the daughter of Mrs. Washington.

Mrs. Wood’s son also had something to say when he remarked, “I feel very blessed of the fact that I can say that I am her son.”
