CELEBRATE PIE DAY THE RIGHT WAY!: Pie your teachers in the face! The Searcy Youth Advisory Council is hosting a fundraiser for Pie Day this week. It will be a raffle for the chance to pie your favorites staff member in the face, each entry will cost one dollar, there is no limit to how many entries you can buy. Names will be drawn at a 2:30 assembly on Friday March 13; all students will be required to attend. All funds collected will go to local nonprofit organizations that work to benefit the youth in White County. YAC members will be outside the cafeteria during both lunches all week to collect money for the raffle.
JOSTENS ORDERS : that were not picked up today can be picked up in the East office from Mrs. Kelly. Orders will need to be paid in full before they can be picked up. Payments should be made directly to Jostens at Jostens.com. No payments can be made in the office!
REGISTRATION FOR HEART START IS NOW OPEN! Heart Start is Henderson State’s freshman orientation event that is required for all first time freshmen. Admitted students can use the link below to register for their Heart Start date. Please help remind your students that have been admitted to Henderson State to register for their Heart Start session. Space is limited per session, so it is important to register early. http://bit.ly/hstart2020
Heart Start Sessions will be held on: June 4,8,9,11,15,16,18,22,23,25 and July 13,14,16.
During the Heart Start session new students will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Register for classes with their professional advisor
- Meet with a financial aid representative
- Get their Henderson ID and parking decal
- Sign- up for Henderson’s Rave Alert system
- Sign- up for Henderson email
- Socialize with current and future Henderson Students
- Visit your assigned residence hall
GIRLS/BOYS STATE: Any 11th grade student who is interested in Boys State or Girls State can come to the Guidance Center to sign up.
TEEN ADVISORY BOARD: The Searcy Public Library is looking for students who would like to be a part of a teen advisory board. The purpose of the advisory board is to help plan activities at the library for ages 13-17. A meeting is planned for April 7th from 4:30-5:00. Interested students should contact Lisa Boatman or Amber Duncan at the Searcy Public Library or Mrs. Cannon at the SHS library.

CITY LEAGUE BASEBALL SIGN UPS : 15 years old and younger can participate. You can sign up in person at the Carmichael Center on March 3rd and 5th or online at https://www.searcyrecreationalsportsleague.org
GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS: Attention all current 9-11th grade girls interested in trying out for the high school basketball team: Tryouts will be held in the annex gym March 30-31 3:30-5:00. All students’ interested need to fill out the tryout form found in both offices or from Coach Sitzmann. All needed information is found on the tryout form. You will have up until the start of day 1 of tryouts to turn in your forms.
SHS PROM CLOSET: SHS Students attending the SHS prom and would like to take advantage of the new or gently worn prom dresses, men’s suites/ties, shoes, purses and jewelry are invited to visit the SHS Prom Closet on the designated shopping days. Students may also sign up for the cosmetic services offered on the day of the prom at the Searcy High School Performing Arts Center makeup room. The shopping days for the prom closet will be Wednesday, April 8th Searcy High School Performing Arts Center- 3rd Floor. 3:05-5:00 P.M.

YOUTH TO YOUTH: Youth to Youth will meet this Thursday morning in Mrs. Hightower’s room at 7:40 A.M.
BETA CLUB: Sophomores and Juniors who received an invitation to join Beta Club need to pay their national new member dues by Tuesday, April 20th. Money can be turned into Mrs. White or Mrs. Holman.
