THE ARKANSAS CHAMBER SINGERS BOARD OF DIRECTORS: is pleased to announce this season’s Vocal/Choral Scholarship Program for $1,000 First Place and $500 Second Place. This scholarship will be awarded to two Arkansas high school seniors who meet the qualifications set by the Board of Directors and be competitive with an audition process. Completed applications must be submitted postmarked no later than January 1, 2021. An audition and interview will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 beginning at 3:00 pm at St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock,AR. To download further information and an application, interested high school seniors can go to: www.ar-chambersingers.org It is important that all directions are followed when preparing the application for submission.

9TH GRADE QUIZ BOWL:Any 9th grader interested in participating in Quiz Bowl should meet in Room 123 (L. Taylor) from 3:05-4:00 on Tuesday, September 29th. Mr. George will meet you there. You will not be traveling to the junior high this year. E-mail cgeorge@searcyschools.org for more information.
VIRTUAL COLLEGE FAIR:This year the Arkansas Association of Collegiate Registrars & Admissions Officers will host a virtual college fair. This fair will include most if not all Arkansas Colleges. This is a great opportunity for students and their parents to access information from our state’s post secondary institutions. The fair will run throughout the month of October. Students need to go to “The Guidance Center Google Classroom(s)” to access the instructional video to learn how to sign up to attend. English teachers have the Guidance Center access codes.
HARDING UNIVERSITY: will be on campus on September 29 at 9:00 a.m. to meet with interested Juniors and Seniors. Interested students need to email Mrs. Cleveland at clevelands@searcyschools.org to get added to the registration list.
MAKE-UP AND RETAKE PICTURES: are scheduled for October 27. Please email Shannon Holeyfield at sholeyfield@searcyschools.org if you need a RETAKE. Retakes may only be taken if there is an obvious defect in the original photograph such as eyes being shut. If you bought a package and you need a retake, please bring the package with you on the scheduled date for pictures.
