CAFETERIA ANNOUNCEMENT :Due to the new “Flex Friday” option, high school and junior high students will have two options for meals on Fridays:

  1. You may order your HOT meal on Nutrislice by the morning deadline (just as you have been doing) and pick it up in the cafeteria during the lunch service time.  If you are not attending onsite, you can pick up your hot meal by pulling up to the driveway next to the cafeteria delivery entrance, and a Child Nutrition staff member will be present to provide your “take-out” meal to you!
  2. If you do not plan to attend onsite on Flex Friday and picking up a hot meal is not convenient for you, you may pick up “take-home” meals on Thursday afternoon at dismissal time.  Just stop at one of the meal stations (set up near the bus loading area and other building exits) and the cafeteria staff will provide you with a sack with both breakfast and lunch included.

Thanks to the USDA waiver for the pandemic, ALL meals are FREE to students!

SHS ONLINE BOOK FAIR:This is the last week for the SHS Online Book Fair.  With health concerns and social-distancing requirements, this online fair is the perfect way for you to build your at-home library from the safety of your home. That means, no need to worry about cash transactions OR germs! Every purchase from our online book fair will be delivered straight to your door. You can also shop teacher wish lists and those books will be shipped directly to their classrooms. Most books in our online fair will be hardcover, first-edition books with library-quality binding. Prices start as low as $5/book—and shipping is FREE for all orders over $30. Our library receives a percentage of every book fair purchase, and we can use these funds to add more quality books to our collection and for other needs. Thank you for supporting SHS and helping us put quality books in the hands of our readers! The link to the book fair can be found on the SHS Webpage.

ARKANSAS SCHOOL FOR MATH AND SCIENCES (ASMSA) will be visiting our campus in the Guidance Center, November 10th at 10:30 am. If any 9th and 10th grade students are interested in attending, please email Ms. Cleveland at clevelands@searcyschools.org.

FOOD PANTRY:The SHS Food Pantry is OPEN. The procedures for getting a food bag are different than in previous years. If you are in need of a food bag, inform a teacher and that teacher can help you to get a bag. You can also email Mrs. Edelmann at cedelmann@searcyschools.org to get a bag.
