Searcy, AR (LP) — Former Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton is chasing for his 8 times world champion before retiring with his two year contract with Mercedes. If Lewis wins an eighth Formula 1 title, he will become the greatest athlete of all time. “Of course, it is the ultimate dream, but I don’t think necessarily it will be the deciding factor for if I stay on and keep going but I think it is more when I put that helmet on, I still have that smile when I leave the garage,” said Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton slashed Verstappen’s title lead to eight points with only two races left and 52 points still available. Four time reigning champion Hamilton is currently trailing Verstappen in wins with the Qatar Grand Prix taking his rival. However, the tiebreaker is till effectively Verstappen’s as winning the last two races would hand Hamilton the title outright, in which case the Mercedes driver wouldn’t need the tiebreaker anyway. There are, of course endless possibles and points to determine who wins the championship but here is the simplest outcome for both. Max can even claim glory if he wins next weekend with the fastest lap and Hamilton finishes 6th or lower. Although if verstappen secured another two runner-up finishes and two fastest laps, as he did in Qatar, he could only score 57 to take him to 389.5 overall, which would be four shy of Hamilton’s 393.5 points. The constructors championship is also very much in the balance and for some teams the prize money is crucial for their survival. With Mercedes (546.5 points) are currently ahead of Red Bull (541.5 points) with a race for third coming down to the wire between Ferrari and Mclaren.

This weekend we could predict that Max could win his first world championship title  thought that depends on a number of factors, with the dutchman potentially on the verge of making history. And of course he has the toughest opponent Lewis Hamilton. “I think it’s natural of course that when you are in this stage of your career you are better prepared than what you were in your first or second, when lewis was fighting for his eighth title,” said Max . With this brand new track in the Jeddah Grand Prix we could predict who will win the world champion, Max or Lewis.
