Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, 2025. The couple announced their engagement through social media, on Instagram. In the joint post the caption read “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married𧨠” That post includes five pictures of them together in a garden surrounded by flowers. Accompanying the post include one of her song that was in her latest album “The Tortured Poets Department” , the song that was on their post was “So High School” released on 2024, the song which was a song that was written for Travis Kelce.
The song “So High School” is a love song. In her lyrics, Taylor Swift leans into the public portrayal of her relationship being the ultimate high school couple. She also made her intentions very clear: She does want to marry Kelce eventually, although she wouldnât be surprised if he broke her heart. As she put it in the songâs first verse, âAre you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me (Kill me) / Itâs just a game, but really (Really) / Iâm bettinâ on all three for us two (All three).â Another main lyric is “I feel so high school every time I look at you,” she sings

In an interview with News 5âs John Kosich, the father of Travis Kelceâs, Ed Kelce, gave us an in-depth look into his sonâs recent engagement to one of the worldâs biggest pop stars of the decade.
On the ABCâs News 5 Cleveland station,Ed Kelce, revealed that âTravis actually did the proposal⌠maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks agoâ.
He said this happened at a garden in the city of Leeâs Summit, Missouri.
âHe got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, âletâs go out and have a glass of wineâ⌠they got out there, and thatâs when he asked her, and it was beautiful,â Ed Kelce said.
âThey started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.â
SHS Student and Teacher Insight
An SHS student, Shalisa Theerasukprasan insight on the subject was that, “I am a fan of Taylor Swift, and I was so happy when I heard the news from one of my teacher.” She also said, “When I was scrolling on Tiktok I saw her and Travis engagement picture, it was so romantic. And I was just so glad she finally found the right person to her love story!”
Another SHS student say, that “I am not a fan of Taylor Swift, but my thought is that it was okay.” This statement came from Papungkorn Tungpiriyasin.
Someone else said that, “I had no idea she was engaged.” Adding to that she says, “It’s not gonna go well.” This came from Ash another SHS student.
A SHS teacher says that, “I am glad that Taylor Swift has been able to find happiness with a partner. I have been a fan of her off-and-on at different times throughout my life. Taylor Swift has been a celebrity that many people have been able to relate to when it comes to struggles with romantic relationships. I am happy for her that she finally has a romantic partner in her life who makes her feel loved and appreciated. I would like to add that this matter does not greatly affect my life, and I do not think about it very often. While I still enjoy listening to her music, I do not consider myself a fan of her personally past just enjoying her music.
