Preparing for any production takes practice after practice, but the drama group bands together for all of their rehearsals.
“We have had rehearsal quite a lot, like monday though thursday every week before the show,” said sophomore Chloe Daniels. “We have done a lot of warm ups and a lot of improv.
The troupe has been preparing for the Dinner Theatre, which is November 9-10.
“So basically all we have been doing is rehearsing our play, getting all of our props together, and making sure everyone knows their lines,” said senior Kelly Cooper.
The drama students play interesting games to prepare their mind and body.
“We always do all these crazy improv games; we never know what Ms. Taylor is going to come up with for us to play, but it’s a lot of fun,” said Cooper.
Most of the plays that the drama department performs are small, but many students prefer these plays over the larger ones.
“Dinner Theaters and Dessert Theaters are a lot of fun, just to be with all of my friends and acting,” said senior Kara White.
In the class, students connect over their plays and classwork.
“The best thing about drama is that everyone in the class becomes a family to you, you have a special bond with everyone, and it’s just a lot of fun acting out the plays together. You have a good time and you make a lot of memories,” said Cooper.
