He runs and runs and runs. Rhett Riabley is a distance runner.
“I’ve never really been a sprinter, I have always just preferred the long distance races,” said senior Rhett Riabley.
Becoming a great distance runner requires a lot of time and effort.
“I’ll run about sixty miles each week, just around town, just wherever,” Riabley stated.
Even after high school Rhett plans to pursue his passion for running.
“I plan to run for Arkansas State in Jonesboro and study biology,” he said.
Riabley’s running career, at the high school, has made him a better athlete. He has also won many prestigious awards, such as making All-State, and going to the All Star meeting.
“I’ve been All-Conference for four years, and hopefully, I’ll make All State again this year and go to the All Star meet,” Riabley explained.
Riabley has been successful as a runner, because of his hard work.
“Just pushing your abilities to the extreme, not giving up, never giving in, always work your hardest, and you will succeed,” Riabley stated.
With all of his awards, Rhett looks to have a successful future as a runner.
