Searcy (LP) This time of the year is famous for sickness. Flu season is in full effect and people are getting sick left and right. Everywhere you go someone is coughing and sneezing spreading germs all over the place. You might find yourself having to miss quite a bit of school because of this nasty sick season. After spending the past two weeks home from school because of sickness, I think it is safe to say I have become an expert on sick days. I have figured out all of the ways to take advantage of the time away from school and still get yourself feeling better.
- The first important key in making the best of your sick days is movies. Go rent all of those movies that you have been dying to watch lately but just have not had the time for. Make yourself a comfy spot with tons of blankets and pillows, make yourself a big bowl of popcorn, and settle in for a day of movie enjoyment. This will allow you to rest and feel better but feel entertained at the same time.
- Another thing that will help you avoid the boredom on those long days at home are puzzles. Word searches, cross words, sudoko, or any other puzzle you can think of are great to do when you are home sick. These puzzles will provide a little entertainment while also keeping your mind sharp for when you have to return to school.
- Something else that is impornant on these sick days is food. When you are sick, some foods sound no good, but I have figured out the ultimate foods to eat when you are under the weather. Soups are always good, espesially chicken noodle or potato. Let yourself enjoy some yummy ice cream and popsicles. Treat yourself to your favorite foods on these days at home.
Most people would think that being sick at home would be boring and sad. With these tips you can take your boring sick day and turn it into an enjoyable and relaxing day at home.
