PROM CLOSET: Searcy High School Prom Closet will hold its shopping dates on Thursday, March 7 and Tuesday, April 2 from 3:30-5 P.M. SHS students who are attending the SHS prom and would like to take advantage of the free service are invited to visit the SHS Prom Closet. Located on the 3rd floor of the Searcy High School Performing Arts Center, inventory consists of prom items for females such as dresses, shoes, purses, and jewelry, and a small inventory of men’s suits and ties. Students may also sign up for cosmetic services such as makeup and hair on the day of the prom. ASU-BEEBE is hosting their bi-annual Vanguard Day this Friday, March 8. Check-in begins at 8:00am and we will begin promptly at 9:00am. Campus tours will be given whatever the weather, so please encourage your students to dress accordingly. (Right now it looks like there will be rain and thunderstorms.)
The farm tour for the Veterinarian Technology program will be available after lunch at 11:00.
Students will need to stay in the gymnasium for this.

TEXTBOOK CORNER will award four $250 scholarships to incoming freshman students attending ASU-Beebe this fall.The deadline is May 30th but if anyone misses that deadline, please turn in one anyway as they will still send a 10% off coupon.
UNITY HEALTH is offering a program for rising 11th-12th grade students interested in the medical field. The Careers and Medical Professions (CAMP) program will be held Monday June 10th through Friday, June 14th, 2019 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day at White County Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas, It is provided as a courtesy of Unity Health at no cost to the student. MUST HAVE AN UPDATED PHYSICAL TURNED IN PRIOR TO THE START OF THE TRYOUT TO PARTICIPATE. TURN PHYSICAL AND TRYOUT FORM IN TO COACH SITZMANN BY APRIL 12TH!

**ANY BOYS not involved in a winter sport or off season program from October-February that would like to tryout to be on the Lady Lions Basketball Scout Team and would like more information, please contact Coach Sitzmann, via email ksitzmann@searcyschools.org by April 15th.”

JOSTENS: On March 12th, Jostens will be in the cafeteria passing out senior orders during 1st and 2nd periods. Seniors are to report to their 1st period and wait for an all call. You must be paid in full in order to pick up your order. If you are not on campus during that time, all orders will be available for pick up in Mrs. Hamilton’s office. See Mrs. Joyner if you have any questions.
CLINICAL INTERNSHIP: Students interested in applying for Clinical Internship can pick up applications in the Guidance Center. Students must have a 3.0 to apply. Completed applications are due in Guidance Center no later than March 13
ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY PACK PREVIEW DAY will be held Saturday, March 9.Pack Preview is open to juniors and prospective seniors, as well as their family members/guests. The day will consist of an information fair, academic sessions, student services and involvement panels, and campus tours. We will also provide students with free access to the A-State Men’s Basketball game against conference rivals, ULL (upon their request during registration).This semi-annual event is our most in-depth opportunity for students to get a glimpse into life at A-State. Pack Preview is completely free, but students are required to register at www.astate.edu/packpreview.
FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR VARSITY CHEER OR LIONSTEPPERS: A mandatory meeting will be held for all interested girls and one parent Tuesday, March 12th 5:30 pm in the Main Gym. All candidates must sign the list in the East or West Office. You have must have at least a 2.0 GPA to try out. Contact Ms. Cramblett or Ms. Simpson if you have any questions.
