GT LUNCH BUNCH: Tomorrow, Oct 31st during both lunches, GT Lunch Bunch will meet in the library. Sweet treats and a drawing for a Sonic Card will be offered. See you then!
FOOD DRIVE: We will have a food drive from Nov. 11-15 to benefit Searcy families for Thanksgiving. Please bring unperishable food to your 1st period class- show Searcy how we care for our community!
FLU CLINIC: Searcy High School and the Arkansas Department of Health will be holding a flu immunization clinic on Nov.8, 2019.
CORRECTION- CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT: ASU-Beebe will be on campus on November 6th and 7th to register students who will be taking classes on our campus for concurrent enrollment during the SPRING semester. ASU will be mailing registration information/forms to students who are currently enrolled. Any student not currently enrolled can stop by the Guidance Center for more information.
Haunted Theatre is Tues. & Thurs. Oct. 29 and 31 from 4:30-9 in the Performing Arts Center. The cost is $5 or 5 cans of food.Thespian Sheet fundraiser (order form and money) needs to be turned in to Mrs. Taylor by the end of the day on Tues. Oct. 29.
RED RIBBON WEEK IS OCTOBER 28TH THROUGH NOVEMBER 1ST: Youth to Youth would love for the student body to participate in the following activities for the week:
Thursday – Lifeguard Day -Students will be asked to dress in red/white to symbolize lifeguards. “Save a life. Stop Vaping!”) NO SWIMWEAR PERMITTED!!!
Friday – Pink Out Day -Students will wear pink with their red ribbons to symbolize not only stopping drugs but breast cancer as well.)
All school policies regarding dress code should be followed. There will also be a Red Ribbon Week banner by the cafeteria for students to sign pledging to be drug free.
Miss Central Arkansas Outstanding Teen Scholarship Competition: Any girl who is interested in information regarding the Miss Central Arkansas Outstanding Teen Scholarship Competition, a preliminary to the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Competition can pick up information in the Guidance Center. Girls must be between the ages of 13-17.
THE NATIONAL SCHOOL PLANT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (NSPMA) seeks to assist qualified students who are continuing their education by offering scholarships to those pursuing an Associates or Bachelor degree. Individual scholarships may range from $500 up to $1,500 depending on the candidate’s interest, evaluation results, and recommendation from the NSPMA Scholarship Committee. Interested seniors can pick up an application in the Guidance Center.
