Soccer season is finally here and the girls soccer team is very excited to play and hope to do well and win state.
“My favorite part of the season is playing with my friends and hopefully winning state,” says Junior Avery Albright.
Many of the girls this season are friends which makes practice and games even more fun.
“We’re all friends and it’s fun to come out and play together,” says Albright.
Although they’re having fun, there is also a lot of work to be done as the girls are learning a new formation they are not familiar with.
“We change formation almost everyday and we kind of need more work on that because we’ve never played it together,” says Albright.
The new formation is challenging them to work hard and above all work as a team.
“It’s definitely challenging as players and as teammates,” says Senior Michaelah Weaver, “we’re having to learn to work together more than we ever have before and it’s really cool.”
There are two proud seniors on the team and both have great expectations for the season.
“My favorite part of being a senior is taking the lead and bossing everybody around,” says Senior Rosario Bosenegra.
“I’m really excited about the season, but also sad because it’s my last one,” says Weaver.
